About Remisha
Remisha is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Certified Financial Social Worker, and a Mental Health Advocate. She has been a therapist in North Carolina for over four years and has over 19 years experience within the mental health field.
As a clinical therapist who specializes in CBT, she strongly believes that if one changes their mind and or the way they think about any situation, they can live a happier and enjoyable life. She also believes minority and impoverished communities need more mental health education and awareness to ensure therapy is normalized and individuals seek help and support for their mental health needs. At Positive Thoughts, we believe every person should be able to access mental health services regardless of their economic or social status, ethnicity, race, sex, gender, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, etc.
Everyone should have the opportunity to live a stable, happy, and emotionally safe life without judgment.
Remisha works with clients to ensure they show up as their best selves in all aspects of their life and start their personal journey to healing and freedom. Her practice focuses on CBT interventions to show individuals how to create a more positive mindset about life and their experiences. She educates her clients on how to make good of any situation one step at a time and one moment at a time.
Remisha helps clients manage symptoms of anxiety, acute stress, depression, trauma, low self esteem and teach them how to recognize their own triggers and find creative ways to utilize their strengths to help them cope. She utilizes a person-centered approach while incorporating evidenced practices that help soothe and provide emotional safety.
